Self Catering Terms And Conditions

The hiring contract shall be between the hirer and the owner of the property. The hiring contract is a binding document. Please read these conditions carefully. Placing a booking indicates that you accept the conditions which must be strictly adhered to.

1.ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE TIMES The accommodation will be available from 5.00pm onwards on the day of arrival. We cannot guarantee occupancy before that time. Guests are required to vacate the house by 10.00am on the morning of departure. If you will be arriving after 7.00pm please advise us in advance in order that we may make special arrangements to welcome you.

2.BOOKING Bookings can be made by e-mail or telephone. To confirm a booking we require a 30% deposit. The balance outstanding will be payable 12 weeks prior to arrival. If you book within 12 weeks of your arrival date, the full amount is payable at the time of the booking. On receipt of payment we will confirm your reservation details in writing or by email. We regret we cannot accept bookings from groups or persons under 21 years of age. We cannot take bookings for stag or hen party groups.

3. GOOD HOUSE KEEPING DEPOSIT Each final payment must include a good house keeping deposit of 200 which represents your undertaking to take care of the house, cause no damage and leave it in a similar condition to which you find it on arrival. We will repay this deposit within ten days of your departure subject to there being no claim against you for any loss or damage to the property or contents.

4. METHOD OF PAYMENT Cheques and UK Debit Cards are acceptable but payment by Credit Card or non UK Debit Card will incur a 2.5% surcharge

5. CANCELATION We reserve the right to cancel your reservation should the balance not be received 12 weeks prior to arrival and your deposit will not be refundable. If you cancel between 12 and 6 weeks prior to your arrival date, 50% of the balance will be refunded, but not the deposit. If you cancel less than 6 weeks prior to your arrival date, no refund will be given.

6. NUMBER OF GUESTS No person in excess of the number agreed at the time of reservation may occupy the property without prior reference to ourselves.

7. INSURANCE We strongly recommend that you take out cancellation insurance or travel insurance.

8. PRICES All rates quoted are inclusive of electricity, all bed linen, duvets, towels and tea towels are also included in the price. Cots and high chairs are available on request at no extra charge. There may be an oil surcharge applicable if the oil usage is increased by the tenant requesting that the heating be left on outside the normal hours. 7.00am to 10.00am --- 1.00pm to 2pm --- 4.00pm to 10.00pm

9. PETS We are a dog-friendly establishment and are happy to supply bowls, blankets etc. and a night cage is available if required. Only well behaved dogs are accepted and our golden rule is that no dog should be left in any room without its owner. Please let us know if you are bringing a dog when you place your booking.

10. IF WE CANCEL In the unlikely event of Feith Mhor becoming unavailable due to circumstances outside our control (such as, but not necessarily limited to, flooding, fire, power loss or freeze-up, etc.) a complete refund will be paid including the deposit.

11. COMPLAINTS In the unlikely event that you have a complaint, we will deal with it immediately and do all in our power to rectify the situation. However, we cannot accept liability for any complaint not notified to us during your stay. In the event of unreasonable behaviour or deliberate damage we reserve the right to terminate your stay without any refund and charge you for any damages.

12.OWNERS ACCESS We reserve the right to have access to the house at all reasonable times, with prior notice whenever possible. The Owners cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage to tenant's property, or for personal injury, or damage to cars parked on the property. We cannot accept liability for events that occur outside our control, such as normal breakdown of domestic appliances, plumbing, wiring and damages that result from exceptional weather conditions. Once advised of the problem we will take immediate action to try to effect a speedy resolution.

13. SMOKING Feith Mhor Lodge is strictly non-smoking. Please adhere to this.

14. TERMS AND CONDITIONS Confirmation of a booking will be deemed to be an acceptance of these conditions. The hirer warrants that he/she is authorised to agree to these conditions and is acting on behalf of all persons including those substituted or added at a later date and must be one of the property occupants on each night booked. The hirer is responsible for ensuring that all persons occupying the property comply with all the conditions in all respects. Any property occupied is strictly on the basis that the accommodation is for holiday use only and that no right to remain in the property after the end of the holiday period booked exists for the hirer or for any other person or persons who occupy the property. All persons will vacate the property at the conclusion of the period of the holiday.
