Feith Mhor Lodge

Reviews

We had a fantastic visit thank you. The weather made a huge difference but the house and (well kept) garden really gave us a platform to enjoy it. Lorraine made us feel very welcome and genuinly like we could treat the place like home. The house was perfect for our family of 10, -plus 3 dogs- with everyone having their own space (and bathroom) but still able to eat and relax together in the garden, dining room or lounge. This was the first get together of this type for our family but is definitely something we'll repeat after our experience at Feith Mhor.

Many thanks

Yet another super week (16-23 June 2018) staying at Feith Mhor, Carrbridge. This really is a great big house just perfect for our all-male group of hillwalkers, golfers, ebike trail riders and sightseers This is the only lodge which, in 20 years of rentals from Fort William to Kinlochbervie, Wales and Ireland, has all the bedrooms with ensuite facilities. They are so comfortable with TV in every one and heating for times when it is not so warm in the 'Hielans'. The drying room/wc downstairs is perfect for the outdoor clothing and the dining room set for all to eat together is very welcoming. Fascinating fish paintings, falconry pictures and sporting trophies make it a classy self-catering rental. The housekeeper prepared the house thoroughly and is on hand to offer help if needed. The lounge is full of cosy furniture, interesting books and children's games. The kitchen has a large cooker (6 gas rings plus 2 electric ovens) and there is a 6ft freezer and a 6ft fridge, microwave, dishwasher, washing machine, ample crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils. There is plenty of parking (we had 7 cars) and a bike storage shed and outdoor BBQ. The location is so quiet and peaceful being 1.3 miles from the village. The red squirrels are an entertainment too.I recommend Feith Mhor for a super comfortable holiday in area full of interesting places to visit.

We were a walking party of 8 males who thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Feith Mhor Lodge. The Lodge was spacious and very comfortable and with all the bed rooms being en suite there was no queue for the much needed shower after a day in the hills. The garden was a delight, being able to watch various birds and red squirrels whilst having an evening drink and also watching the sunset. Overall a superb house in a super setting which we would recommend to anyone.

Anyhow we really enjoyed our time and if we come back to the Cairngorms we would stay at Feith Mhor again. PS The welcome cake was delicious.

Ten of us stayed three nights in Feith Mhor Lodge in April to celebrate our daughters 30th birthday. The house was clean and warm and was perfectly decorated and furnished for a very comfortable stay. Our four grandchildren were able to play very safely in the large front garden and loved the fact they could watch TV in bed in the mornings. We had a day at landmark, a morning at the Osprey Centre and explored Loch Morlich. All in all everyone enjoyed their time at Feith Mhor Lodge, it made our special birthday celebrations extra special. We would highly recommend this lovely house as it was the perfect choice for our three generation family getaway.

We had an excellent stay at Feith Mhor Lodge, I think what I appreciated the most was the silent surroundings and views. Getting away from the city was a bonus. Having en suites in every room was a bonus. We even had a cheeky fire on one of the chillier nights. Ideal location to explore the Cairngorms national park area, close enough to Carrbridge to walk for food and drink too.

Great house and garden (plenty of space for kids to play), clean and well maintained. Location ideal for accessing Aviemore and surrounds. Would happily go back. Also, John the owner kindly introduced us to his Perigrines - a real bonus for kids and adults!

Best wishes & thanks, David
